Deer Valley Estates is a subdivision of privately owned lots adjacent to the San Juan National Forest in Southwest Colorado. Deer Valley is located six miles east of the small community of Bayfield. Durango is located 25 miles to the west, and Pagosa Springs is 35 miles to the east.

Deer Valley has been recognized by the National Fire Protection Association as a Firewise USA Community. Homeowners are required to maintain the defensible space around their property on a yearly basis.
